Upper Park in Royal Kunia after the Fire

"KUNIA, Hawaii —Firefighters from as far as McCully to Nanakuli responded to a massive brush fire above Royal Kunia Gardens

The call came in just after 6 p.m. on Monday.
"It was a big fire. It started way on the road and then it kind of worked its way over," said Alika Chee. "At first, all we saw was smoke and it was like a big wall of fire, probably like the biggest fire I've ever seen."
The fire came close to homes -- 200 acres burnt -- but no damage or injuries were reported. It was contained by 9 p.m.
The cause of the fire is still being determined."
